The structure and content of the strategic environmental assessment procedure of measures proposed by the land management documentation listed above are substantiated, which includes: a) definition of the scope of the strategic environmental assessment (scoping); b) preparation of an environmental report (a report on a strategic environmental assessment); c) consultations with environmental protection bodies, health protection bodies, as well as the public; d) cross-border consultations (in the process of developing land management schemes and technical and economic justifications for the use and protection of lands of administrative-territorial units, territories of territorial communities, comprehensive plans for spatial development of the territories of territorial communities); e) making a decision on approving land management documentation (with justification for taking into account/not taking into account the results of consultations); e) environmental monitoring. A number of criteria for implementing a strategic environmental assessment for activities planned by land management documentation are proposed. The defined criteria, taking into account the purpose of land management, the specifics of the development of land management documentation and the provisions of Directive 2001/42/EC, make it possible to comprehensively and qualitatively assess their impact on the surrounding natural environment in the short, medium and long term.
