As a result of this work, the development and substantiation of a physical concept for the use of certain metallic materials, including superelastic multicomponent materials, has begun, which should lead to ways to control their properties and create on this basis a new class of elastocaloric functional materials - the basis of environmentally friendly technologies for the design of cooling devices, as well as the material science basis for the creation of (nano)crystalline heat pumps capable of pumping heat from cold to hot. The conditions have been created for the development of a new class of elastocaloric materials with programmable and controllable physical and mechanical properties that can be used for reliable cooling on all scales - from computer chips that require temperature control to large-scale nuclear power plants, both in medicine and the food industry.
