The purpose of the study is to improve the methodology for establishing the dependence between repair and construction works and damage to adjacent premises, in connection with changes in the state building regulations and standards of Ukraine. Research methods - study, generalization and data processing of legislative and regulatory and technical documentation, expert practice, reference literature. Theoretical and practical results - a system of signs and criteria was developed and supplemented, allowing to establish a causal relationship between the performance of repair and construction works in the premises of buildings, and damage to structural elements, furnishing coatings that occurred in adjacent premises.
