The purpose of the work is to establish the scientific and experimental foundations of the composite materials controlled synthesis based on PbO2 with a given electrocatalytic activity and selectivity to the processes of deep oxidative destruction and dehalogenation of aromatic compounds. Research methods are voltammetry, potentiometry, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction. As a result of the work, a set of new experimental data was obtained on the influence of surface-active substances and polyelectrolytes on the colloidal-chemical properties of suspension electrolytes and kinetic regularities of the processes of electrodeposition of composite materials of the PbO2-MeO2-PAR/PE system. The mechanism of introducing particles of oxides of valve metals with adsorbed surfactants and polyelectrolytes into the oxide matrix of the electrocatalyst was established. The main elements of the general theory of electrodeposition of composite materials, which takes into account the influence of dispersed phase particles with adsorbed surfactants and polyelectrolytes, were established. New data on the effect of the number and nature of valve metal particles, surface-active substances and polyelectrolytes, electrodeposition conditions on the composition, physicochemical properties and electrocatalytic activity of composites based on PbO2 were obtained.
