Research methods: general scientific and special linguistic. The purpose of the research: to identify and investigate the current issues of modern linguistic sinology. To continue the in-depth study by the staff of the Department of Chinese Philology of the Kyiv National Linguistic University of current issues of modern Chinese studies in the linguistic aspect, the study of modern non-traditional methods of Chinese language research, as well as the essence and types of approaches to Chinese language research at all levels and in all aspects. Results and their novelty: - topical issues of modern linguistics have been analyzed, the contribution of Ukrainian sinologists to the development of modern Chinese studies was systematized and summarized; - some aspects of the grammatical structure of the modern Chinese language, in particular the functional-semantic field of modality, the category of aspectuality and the latest approaches to the analysis of the grammatical system of the Chinese language have been analyzed; - the peculiarities of modern Ukrainian phonological research in Chinese studies have been analyzed; - considerable attention was paid to the relationship between the Chinese language and literature in the historical aspect and at the present stage; - studied the peculiarities of the formation of diplomatic discourse in the modern Chinese language; - linguistic and cultural studies of concepts in the modern Chinese language using the example of phraseological units have been carried out. Significance of the work: illuminates the peculiarities of modern sinological studies, in particular domestic ones, deepens the understanding of the grammatical, phonetic, lexical structure of the modern Chinese language, provides comprehensive information about the current state and future prospects in modern Chinese studies.
