The physico-technological basis for obtaining transparent sol-gel SiO2 matrices with incorporated DAST organic molecules, which are active in the IR and terahertz radiation, has been developed. The optical and laser properties of Zn1-xMgxSe:Cr2+ and Cd1-xMnxTe:Fe2+ solid solutions were studied depending on the concentration of their cation composition. It is shown that the laser destruction threshold of PbGa2GeSe6 is approximately 3.7 times higher than the destruction threshold for AgGaS2 crystals, thus the PbGa2GeSe6 compound has a huge potential in high-power frequency conversion in the mid-infrared range of the spectrum.
