Powerful antimicrobial and virucidal properties of the studied materials have been achieved by chemical immobilization of active functional groups on specially selected inert polymer carriers. As functional groups, which provide high antimicrobial activity of materials, N-chlorosulfonamide ("active chlorine" donors) and peroxyacid ("active oxygen" donors) groups have been used. This approach made it possible to significantly increase the stability of the final products, reduce the requirements for their storage conditions, and prolong their effect without loss of effectiveness. The polymer carriers used are industrially produced, have appropriate physical and mechanical properties, high stability in various environments and are inert. We have developed technologies for obtaining such materials in granular and fibrous (staple fiber and needle-punched cloth) forms, so they are convenient for processing almost all basic media that are usually subject to disinfection or antiseptic treatment. It should be especially noted that the multifunctionality, stability and ease of use of such materials with their high efficiency will allow their use in combat operations and emergency situations. The basic idea of the project became extremely relevant with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, because it has been proven that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is very sensitive to active chlorine compounds, the immobilization of which on a polymer carrier is the main focus of our research. Our virological study of selected polymer samples demonstrated their effectiveness against the most resis Product Description popup.authors Abraimova Olha Yevheniivna Koshova Iryna Petrivna Maslak Hanna S.
