New scientific results about the spatial dynamics and self-organization of multimode lasers was obtained. Rotating strongly coupled optical vortex clusters that spontaneously form in a laser with a frequency-degenerate resonator were investigated. The dynamics of light polarization of a quasi-isotropic laser with weak loss anisotropy and a moderate Fresnel number, which includes the competition of orthogonally polarized transverse modes, is studied. The possibility of spontaneous formation of vector modes of the first, second, and third orders, which reveal the polarization structure of the so-called full Poincaré beams, controlled transformations of the polarization structure of the laser field, as well as changes in the dynamics of its rotation. Two new types of intra-resonator angular selectors are proposed, designed for the selection of paraxial laser modes and increasing the brightness of laser radiation, namely: a two-dimensional diffractive metamirror, which has the effect of super-collimation (increasing the intensity of the axial components of the angular spectrum of the beam) and a multilayer metal-dielectric a nanostructure that has extraordinary spectral-angular filtering properties.
