The object of study is electromechanical processes in PS with different types of generators when operating offline and grid connected. A new principle and law of voltage regulation and symmetrization of generator currents under asymmetric load in autonomous diesel-battery and hydro-wind PGSs with a constant speed induction generator and inverter-capacitor excitation has been developed, which, unlike the generally known ones, provide for voltage regulation and symmetrization of generator currents only in certain areas of the working characteristics of the IG, within which the value of the voltage or currents of the generator exceeds the permissible limits in the absence of regulation. Due to this, at an unchanged nominal power of the PGS, a decrease in the installed power of the converter is achieved and, due to a reduction in the number of key switches, the reliability of operation and energy efficiency of autonomous power supply systems increases. The practical novelty is the developed methodology and simulation models for calculating the static characteristics of autonomous combined power generating systems with IG, which allow with significantly less time spent (100-1000 times) compared to dynamic models to calculate the characteristics of systems in steady-state operating modes in the presence and absence of such elements, such as an adjustable dump load, a wind turbine and an energy storage device with an interface converter. This makes it possible to shorten the development time of autonomous combined power supply systems.
