Attention is paid to the formation of a new direction of sociological theorizing as the sociology of polycrisis, which sets its task to investigate how a number of global crisis phenomena such as pandemics, military actions, violations of national security affect local processes. At the applied level, the immigration processes caused by the Russian-Ukrainian war were investigated (in particular, the well-being of internally displaced persons, the problem of borders and cross-border cooperation in the field of preventing pandemic challenges, mechanisms of accumulation of social capital on the example of international migration to EU countries, axiological aspects that take place in systems of higher education and related to the organization of distance learning). The obtained results were published in a number of collective monographs, a study guide, scientific articles in domestic and foreign journals, served as a basis for the execution of bachelor's and master's theses, as well as for the writing and defense of candidate theses of graduate students and department employees.
