The subject of the research is the methodological foundations of interior design and furniture of educational institutions. The purpose of the work is to determine the methodological foundations of interior design and furniture of modern educational institutions. The study revealed three main periods of historical development of the interior and furniture of educational institutions. It is established that the current period of development of school furniture makes sense to consider separately, but its characteristic features are still in the process of formation. The main factors in the development of modern educational spaces are identified and specified. The methodological foundations of modern interior design of educational institutions are defined. The concept of the dynamic environment of the institution of higher education of artistic direction is defined. The levels of changing the educational space of the ZNO are determined. The techniques of interior design of higher education institutions are identified. The methodological foundations of design-development of furniture of educational institutions are defined. In general, the system of furniture of interiors of secondary education institutions on the basis of conceptual and object-spatial interaction of determined fuction-ergonomic, functional-operational and structural-compositional types of elements of the system: furniture products and kits is described. The results of the work can be directly used in the process of interior design of educational institutions, in the development of furniture and furniture kits for such establishments. Based on the results of the study, it is possible to create detailed methodological recommendations for the projects. The results of the work can be implemented in the educational process of preparing interior designers, furniture, as well as architects and educators.
