Objective: to improve the medical and psychological support of adolescents with chronic non-communicable diseases affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: questionnaires, sociological, psychological, statistical parametric and non-parametric. Results: the most significant factors influencing the quality of life of school-age children with chronic non-communicable diseases during the COVID-19 pandemic were identified. The negative influence of the emotional state on educational activity has been established. Distance learning leads to limitations in communication with friends, a decrease in motor activity against the background of an increase in the time spent using the computer, an increase in the duration of sleep and body weight (15.7%). As significant adverse health changes, adolescents recognized poor health, constant sleepiness, persistent decrease in working capacity, periodic headache, changeable mood, depressive thoughts, aggressiveness, irritability, emotional instability, obsessive thoughts. Parents attributed chronic stress due to and limitations in the availability of medical care to the significant factors in the deterioration of children's quality of life during the pandemic. Novelty: for the first time in Ukraine, against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, the psychological features of adaptation of school-age children to distance learning, the level of their health-related quality of life, deepened knowledge about the indicators of the development of emotional stress in adolescents, the information needs of the family for changes in the procedure for providing medical assistance to students of educational institutions and the justified improvement of the system of their medical and psychological support.
