The goal of the project is to create new stress-resistant, productive genotypes of bioenergetic woody and herbaceous plants (Populus, Paulownia and Silphium) for the development of alternative sources of biofuel raw materials. The object of research is the process of creating new highly productive stress-resistant genotypes of woody and herbaceous plants (Populus, Paulownia and Silphium) and the development of highly efficient technologies for obtaining biofuel raw materials for the production of various types of biofuel. The subject of the research is highly adaptive stress-resistant genotypes of the genus (Populus, Paulownia and Silphium), moisture conditions, salinity and energy productivity of plants. When conducting research, general scientific (hypothesis, experiment, observation, analysis, synthesis) and special research methods (field and laboratory - biochemical, microbiological, agrochemical) were used. New genotypes of fast-growing trees (poplars, willows, paulownia – 36 samples) and perennial herbaceous plants (sylphium species – 35 cuttings) promising for the biofuel industry were mobilized and bred. A comprehensive assessment of the biological-ecological, adaptive, productive, biochemical and productive potential of new stress-resistant plant genotypes for the development of alternative sources of biofuels of the first and second generation was carried out. An assessment of the technological properties, quality parameters of plants and the potential output of biofuel, biogas and bioethanol from phytoraw materials is provided. Biofuel heat capacity, energy and economic value of promising genotypes were determined. An assessment of the possibilities of improving the quality of phytomass pellets was carried out. As a result of the work, 8 scientific works were published.
