The purpose of the work is scientific substantiation of the development of new and updating of current technical conditions, methodological documents of the State Technical University of Ukraine on certification and expert evaluation of precious stones, precious stones of organogenic formation based on the analysis of the latest international practice in the field of certification of precious stones. Research methods - based on the results of the analysis of international experience in the field of certification of precious stones, on the basis of the previous developments of the DHCU in the field of expert evaluation, new and updated current technical conditions of the DHCU on attestation and expert assessment of precious stones, precious stones of organogenic formation have been developed. For the first time, the technical conditions of TU U 32.1–21587162–004:2022 "Cultivated pearls" were developed. The technical requirements for the classification of cultured pearls are established in the technical specifications, the main classification features are defined, the requirements for their marking, packaging, storage, transportation, control methods and acceptance rules are set out, the scientific and technical terms used in the technical specifications and definitions of the concepts indicated by them are given, methodological guidelines are given materials on refined cultured pearls. A review, analysis, changes and additions were made and new editions of the current TU U 36.2–21587162–002:2009 “Emeralds, rubies, blue sapphires, alexandrites”, TU U 36.2–21587162–003:2009 “Precious stones (of the second to fourth order)", set out in amendments No. 3 dated 12.22.2022. The use of technical conditions is aimed at achieving the optimal degree of orderliness in the field of examination and evaluation of precious stones.
