Sm., Nymphaea alba (L.) All., Salvinia natans (L.) All., Lemna minor L.) within the Kyiv and Kaniv reservoirs were assessed and specific long-term trends of their overgrowth processes were established; indicators of abundance, biomass and structure of the dominant phytoplankton complex of reservoirs in the gradient of intensity of overgrowth by higher aquatic plants (HAP) were studied; the mechanisms of the influence of HAP on the processes of "blooming" of water by blue-green algae (cyanobacteria), depending on the area of the projective cover of the water surface, were analyzed; the features of the hydrochemical and hydrological regimes in places with different intensity of overgrowth of HAP reservoirs were established; the current species and quantitative composition of fish from the Kyiv and Kaniv reservoirs, their physiological and biochemical status under conditions of various associations of HAP, and the success of spawning of phytophilic representatives of ichthyocenosis were studied. The results of the project were used in the preparation of the elements of the Dnipro river basin management plan and the development of a system for assessing the ecological state of surface water massifs during state monitoring in the area of the Dnipro river basin. The results obtained were reflected in indexed publications in Scopus, as well as presented for public discussion at international conferences and symposiums.
