The purpose of the work is to evaluate the significance of low-intensity chronic inflammation, disturbances in the pro-oxidant-antioxidant balance, and changes in the microflora as risk factors for the progression of pathological processes in patients with steatosis of the liver and pancreas in the remote period after the effects of the Chornobyl accident factors. Research methods - general clinical examination, instrumental research (ultrasound diagnosis of abdominal organs, esophagogastroduodenoscopy), biochemical, immunological, statistical, informational and analytical. A complex of laboratory studies has been formed and methods of their implementation have been worked out. An analysis of changes in individual laboratory indicators was carried out to determine the feasibility of their use to assess the value of systemic inflammation, oxidative processes and digestive changes in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and in its comorbid course with pancreatic steatosis in persons exposed to the factors of the Chornobyl accident. Individual manifestations of the inflammatory reaction, violations of the pro-oxidant-antioxidant balance, lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, signs of cytolytic and cholestatic syndromes, laboratory manifestations of digestive disorders were analyzed. At the next stage, the work should be aimed at the further accumulation of research results and statistical processing of the results if there is a sufficient number of observations. The results of the work were made public at 4 scientific forums, which was confirmed by the publication of 4 report abstracts.
