Disturbed areas are partially restored through reclamation, during which substrates with different potential fertility, having different ecological properties and quality are used. But in the process of assessing the quality of reclaimed soils, insufficient attention is paid to the restoration of their ecological properties, that is, their suitability for the existence of soil biota, which ensures the stability and vitality of soils. Research is aimed at the study of complex techno-ecosystems and the restoration of anthropically disturbed landscapes. The purpose of the work: establishing regularities of environment-transforming properties of biota to optimize natural reproduction of technogenically disturbed landscapes. The main results of the work: during the reporting period, research was conducted on the biotic potential of agrocenoses of reclaimed lands and lands on which intensive and organic farming technologies are used. An assessment of landscapes was carried out for functional zoning of the territories of the nature reserve fund in the conditions of modern land use. Practical value: the research results can be used in research work in the study of technical and biological stages of reclamation of degraded natural ecosystems due to man-made human activity.
