Interest in new methods and critical approaches to its research develops into their practical use and creation of a complex and systematic scientific discourse. The object of research is Ukrainian and foreign literature for children and youth; scientific studies and research of classics and modern literature for children and youth. The purpose of the work is to generalize the results of theoretical research and practical experience of Ukrainian and foreign specialists in the field of studying literature for children and youth; analysis of the main trends of its development; formation of complex knowledge about the artistic-aesthetic and socio-cultural phenomenon. In the process of the scientific research work, a systematic approach was used, which provided for an organic combination of typological, cultural-historical, and hermeneutic methods. Literary analysis of the poetics of texts, typology and generalization of artistic features, recording of new phenomena and changes - the basis of knowledge of the artistic and aesthetic paradigm and textual trends of modern Ukrainian literature for children and youth. For the purpose of a comprehensive analysis of the research object and its use in practical (teaching, educational) activities, the techniques of multidisciplinary interpretive strategy, postcolonial criticism, psychoanalysis, receptive poetics and aesthetics, narratology, tools of the gender approach, feminist criticism, masculinity studies, communication theory are involved. As a result, a new subject area using innovative analytical technologies was investigated for the first time.
