The developed method of analytical calculation consists in determining the vibration diagnostic indicators of the presence of damage due to its energy characteristic and energy dissipation in the vibration system. The energy characteristic of the damage is the ratio of the possible change in the potential energy of deformation of the beam when a crack is open, which is represented by its functional dependence on the square of the stress intensity factor (SIF), to the potential energy of deformation of an orthotropic rod during its forced bending vibrations at the resonance frequency. Complex roots of the characteristic equation of the 4th order were obtained to determine the SIF, the coefficients of which are calculated from the components of the tensor of the effective elastic solid material.
