P. Semenenko Institute of geochemistry, mineralogy and ore formation popup.description2 Geopolymer binders for cementation of hazardous waste into geopolymercompaunds suitable for further burial and storage have been developed.Physical and chemical properties of raw materials for geopolymer binders have been studied, components of geopolymers and waste imitations for cementation have been prepared, test samples have been made and their qualities (porosity, strength, leaching rate) have been evaluated.Mechanisms of structure formation in geopolymers, peculiarities of preparation of constituent geopolymers and objects for cementation have been considered, experimental samples have been made and their evaluation has been carried out, including by the factorial experiment method. It has been established that the physical and chemical properties of the raw material may vary depending on the supplier, which is why the proper measures are needed to improve the raw material quality - selection of necessary fractions, extraction of underfire and aluminosilicate microspheres, etc. It has been shown that before cementation, objects must also undergo preparation: conversion of cations to ash, adsorption of liquid hydrocarbons by solid adsorbents, etc. On the basis of the studied raw materials, produced geopolymer matrix samples had high strength (more than 20 MPa) and low porosity < 1%. When studying the leaching of Cs and Sr from compounds with an imitation of LRW, low values of the rate of leaching of Sr and insufficient fixation of Cs by the geopolymer material of the applied composition were established. With further development for waste conditioning, geopolymer binders can successfully compete with binders based on portlandcement.  Product Description popup.authors Belskyi Volodymyr Mykolayovych Butnik Tetyana Borysivna Wozniak Dmytro Kostyantynovich Koromyslichenko Taisiya Ivanivna Kulchetska Hanna Oleksandrivna Kushnir Serhii Volodymyrovych Lunyova Iryna Mykolaivna Matveeva Tatyana Petrivna Rozko Alla Mykolaivna Snisar Viktor Petrovych Syomka Lyudmila Vasylivna Fedorenko Yurii H popup.nrat_date 2023-03-15 Close
