Gryshka National Botanical Garden NAS of Ukraine popup.description2 Report on research work, bibliographic description: 1 t., 263 p.; 104 figures; 22 tables; 195 references. Object of the research – elucidation of the peculiarities of the structural and functional organization of representatives of tropical biomes, assessment of their adaptability and development of methods of their propagation and deposition in vitro for preservation ex situ. Subject of the research – comparative morphology and anatomy, modular organization, reproductive systems, physiological and biochemical markers of stress, seed and leaf surface micromorphology as a marker of ecological specialization and adaptability of tropical plants, deposition of vegetative and generative diaspores of rare orchid species in vitro, phytochemical screening and assessment of biological activities of plant extracts. The purpose of the research − assessment of life-history strategies, the morphological and anatomical, physiological and biochemical bases of resistance, development of methods of plant reproduction in two experimental models (in vivo and in vitro) on the example of plant genera with complex life cycle, narrow ecological niches, high specialization of pollination, and symbiotic associations, which are the most vulnerable under of global climate change. Research methods – plant introductions methodology, phenological observations, comparative morphological, light microscopy and SEM, physiological methods; biochemical methods, methods of plant tissue culture in vitro, molecular genetic, statistical methods. The results of studies of tropical biomes plants the most vulnerable under the conditions of global climate change are summarized. The peculiarities of life strategies were assessed, the modular organization, phenological, morphological, anatomical features, and reproduction systems in vivo and in vitro were investigated. On the example of Begonia species, a search for physiological and biochemical markers to assess the impact of water stress was carried out. Product Description popup.authors Ivannikov Roman V.
