The purpose of the first stage of the work is to identify the regularities of the sigma-phase and mu-phase formation in chromium and cobalt alloys during their electrocrystallization and the practical use of the established regularities for the creation of advanced materials for military purposes. The use of developed materials for military equipment will contribute to strengthening the defense capability and national security of the state. Research methods are X-ray phase analysis, mathematical modeling, test for abrasive impact wear. As a result of the implementation of the first (intermediate) stage of scientific research work, the following scientific effects were established: the effect of the formation of intermetallics in the form of a sigma phase between transition metal elements that have similar atomic sizes during the electrocrystallization of chromium alloys; the effect of the formation of intermetallics in the form of mu-phase in the intermediate layer between the electrocrystallized cobalt alloy and the molybdenum cathode with a significant difference in the atomic radii of the interacting metal elements.
