Methods of experimental mechanics of structures made of brittle materials of increased strength have been developed to assess the impact of the nature and degree of operational degradation of their mechanical condition on impact resistance under conditions of multiple impact loads at a speed of up to 1000 m/s. Special requirements for the strength of multi-layer composite elements of structural optics of aircraft and transparent building structures are taken into account. The regularities of the influence of determining factors on the resistance to destruction, the degree of operational degradation of the mechanical condition and the resource of composite multilayer glass-polymer plates of protective glass under impact effects were established, depending on the mass of impactors with a diameter of 5.45 mm, 7.62 mm, speed from 730 to 910 m/s and impact energy from 800 to 4000J. The concept of booking the glass cabins of Antonov SE, block designs was developed and a preliminary assessment of their ballistic protection class was obtained. To ensure the strength and impact resistance of the glazing, the technology of modification of the structural elements of the armored frontal, four-door and side blocks has been improved. The influence of the distance, speed, energy and number of lesions, as well as the determining structural and technological factors on the features of mechanical degradation and the limit state of the model blocks was established.
