The purpose of the research is to parameterize the properties of southern chernozems and anthropogenically transformed chernozems for the development of measures for the efficient use and protection of land. Object of research: automorphic soils of the Northwest Black Sea region - southern chernozems and anthropogenic soils of the city of Odesa. Research methods: profile and comparative-analytical methods, the method of key plots. The parameters of morphology and properties of southern chernozems and anthropogenically transformed soils of the city of Odesa were studied. It was found that the relief and human economic activity have a significant impact on the formation of local soil features. The parameterization of southern chernozems and anthropogenic soils of Odesa city was carried out with the development of a classification of soils of urbanized areas.
