A system of criteria for the classification of forms of institutionalization of economic activity has been developed. A system of indicators has been developed for evaluating the effectiveness of the functioning of the financial component of the process of institutionalization of economic activity, which, unlike the existing ones, is based on the main basic assumptions regarding the definition of the object of evaluation, the typology of financial institutions, the nature of indicators, and the interpretation of evaluation results, which is based on four complex components of an appropriate set of indicators, in particular: financial development, financial institutions, financial markets, financial stability. The classification of approaches to the grouping of relevant forms of institutionalization of financial activity according to the presence of endogenous and exogenous factors of transformation processes in the economy of Ukraine is presented. Exogenous determinants and their influence on the institutional architecture of the development of financial institutions in Ukraine have been identified, which provides opportunities for logical modeling of financial and economic development, forming a kind of matrix of the strategy of national finances. The approaches to the socialization of economic policy as the basis of the economic activity of individuals, firms, and the state in the conditions of institutional transformations, which, unlike the existing ones, are based on the principles of a new model of social policy, are substantiated. A methodological approach to the analysis of the role of market institutions in modern economic processes is presented, which is based on the generalization of the fundamental provisions of a set of theories of development and concepts of the formation of the financial system.
