The subject of the study is the investigation of quantitative and qualitative indicators of changes in the main components of the river basin environment under the influence of anthropogenic activity. The influence of complex anthropogenic activity on the reduction of water quality of the Polissia and Forest-Steppe rivers of Ukraine was studied. They were ranked in the order of water quality decreasing as: Uzh River (II class 3 category) - Trubyzh River (II class 3 and 4 category) – Teteriv River (II class 3 and 4 category) - Irpin River (III class 5 category 4-5 subcategory) – Ros’ River (III class 4 and 5 category) – Stugna River (III class 5 category 5(6) subcategory). It was established that most rivers are characterized by a high indicator of anthropogenic load. In the rivers' floodplains, where reclamation systems function and economic activities are carried out, the indicator of anthropogenic load is high, and the quality of the anthropogenic load is catastrophic. The ecological condition of river basins is mainly characterized as "very bad" and "bad" and is caused by radioactive pollution of the territory, intensive agricultural activity and construction. The ecological state of wetland ecosystems can serve as an indicator of response to anthropogenic impact. It was established that a "good" state with a slight deviation from the basic parameters is characteristic of wetlands with insignificant anthropogenic influence. A "satisfactory" state with a moderate deviation of parameters is appropriate for wetlands under conditions of medium anthropogenic influence. Seriously altered wetlands under conditions of increased anthropogenic influence are characterized by "poor" condition. Product Description popup.authors Bazyaruk Maria P. Huzenko Anna P.
