Lazaryan popup.description2 The method of mathematical modeling of filling brake cylinders with compressed air during braking is presented. Computer modeling of the longitudinal oscillations of freight trains under different braking modes at different speeds on real sections of the track with the most unfavorable parameters regarding the disturbance of the train from the actions of the driver to control its movement (activation and release of the brakes) was carried out. As a result of computer simulation of braking of freight trains, diagrams of the distribution of the largest longitudinal forces along the length of the train, the size of braking distances and braking time were obtained. Recommendations for managing the movement of freight trains on real sections of the track to maintain the specified speed of movement are provided. It is noted that for the considered modes of driving freight trains with the indicated speeds on the considered sections of the track, the level of longitudinal forces in the car coupling devices does not exceed the values that will affect traffic safety. The results of field tests to determine the mass of a grain truck model 19-7053-02 (with a welded backbone beam) were analyzed, which were compared with the design one. The maximum total stresses in the main elements of the structure, under the action of loads corresponding to the 1st design mode, the 3rd design mode and loads that arise during the repair and maintenance of the car, were determined and compared with the permissible values.
