Moreover, AO efficiency can be increased not only in non-centrosymmetric chiral crystals that exhibit natural optical activity, but also in centrosymmetric materials that can also exhibit induced optical activity due to the Faraday effect (or electrogyration). To achieve this effect, a magnetic (or electric) field must be applied along the optical axis. This provides a practical opportunity to control the efficiency of AO diffraction using external magnetic (or electric) fields. It was established that in the case of AO diffraction, which occurs in the XZ interaction plane of Pb5Ge3O11 crystals, the maximum increase in AOFM, taking into account optical activity, occurs with V and VI types of isotropic AO interaction and with VIII and IX types of anisotropic AO interaction with QT1 AW and PT2 AW. The topological defect in the orientation of the eigenvectors of the Christoffel tensor, which arises in the external electric field of a conical shape as a result of changes in the speeds of transverse AW caused by the electroacoustic effect, is analyzed. Inverse collinear AO diffraction under the conditions of interaction of circularly and linearly polarized incident optical waves with circularly polarized AW is considered. It was established that the charges of vortices attributed to acoustic and optical waves are summed up. It is shown that in the case of an incident linearly polarized optical wave, a vector beam with a single order of polarization is generated in crystals. As a result of experimental studies of АW velocities and EО coefficients in γ1-(Ga0.3In0.7)2Se3 crystals, all components of the elastic stiffness and elastic compliance tensors were determined. The AOFM values for γ1-(Ga0.3In0.7)2Se3 crystals were measured for different isotropic diffraction geometries.
