The subject of the study is the model and pedagogical conditions of continuous professional development of foreign language teachers in Ukraine and abroad. The purpose of the study: theoretical substantiation and practical development of the model of continuous professional development of foreign language teachers and the corresponding technology. The main factors of continuous development of foreign language teachers in Ukraine are investigated. It has been established that continuous professional development is implemented in the context of developing teachers' internal motivation, activating their creative activity and forming motivation for self-improvement and self-development, and establishing a desire to realise the pedagogical ideal. The generalisations based on theoretical research concerning the continuous development of foreign language teachers in Ukraine are presented in the collective monograph "Continuous Professional Development of Foreign Language Teachers in Ukraine and Abroad" and the teaching and methodological manual "Methodological Express: Theory and Practice of Teaching English in the New Ukrainian School". The mechanisms for ensuring continuous professional, personal and creative self-development of future and working teachers, educational and professional programmes and trajectories of professional self-improvement in accordance with their abilities, capabilities and aspirations have been identified. The results are reflected in 240 scientific papers, including 5 articles in journals indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection (WoS), 9 monographs, 19 teaching aids, 145 conference abstracts, 2 foreign publications, 60 professional articles.
