The effectiveness of both strategic communications planning and functioning of the strategic communications system itself depends on the knowledge and analysis of mass audiences as the object of the system. In modern conditions, most of the information about mass audiences is obtained through targeted research using sociological studies, as well as through monitoring of social networks. That is why applied sociology in today's realities is an effective way to combat Putin's aggression. The most difficult task now is to measure the “temperature of sentiment” of society behind the contact line or behind the administrative border with Crimea. Thus, in order to make a decision on de-occupation, it must be weighed constantly using the reliable sources. Sociological research on the strategic communications is a rather complex component of the public sentiment monitoring system that requires thorough and lengthy preparation. The informational content and value of the information obtained directly depends on the use of methods and technologies for preparing and conducting military and sociological research. That is why the relevance and necessity of automating the process of conducting sociological research is due to the general increase in requirements for the efficiency and effectiveness of the leadership functions, the implementation of the information policy of the Ministry of Defenсe and the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the context of strategic communications under martial law.
