A fundamental difference between proximal and distal venous blood outflow disorders in the etiopathogenesis of erectile dysfunction has been established. The high efficiency of the modified operation according to Marmar with the ligation of pathological shunts in the correction of the veno-occlusive form of erectile dysfunction has been substantiated and confirmed with a proximal form of venous leakage. It has been proven that the optimal method of treatment of venoocclusive erectile dysfunction with a distal form of venous leakage is X-ray endovascular occlusion of pathological venous shunts through the deep dorsal vein system.
