The subject of the study is the conceptual foundations of the implementation of the competence approach to the professional training of specialists of philological specialties in the informational and educational environment of higher educational institutions. The purpose of the study is to develop and substantiate the concept of introducing a competency-based approach to the professional training of philological specialists in higher education institutions. Research methods: literature analysis, theoretical analysis of main concepts and terms, empirical research. Results and their novelty: modern approaches to the professional training of specialists in philological specialties are analyzed, in particular, attention is focused on the communicative approach as the main one in language learning and innovative approaches to the organization of the educational process. An analysis of the problem of professional training of specialists in philological specialties was carried out with an analysis of psychological problems and psychosocial determination of the formation of teaching competencies, and the adaptation potential of students at the early stages of the educational process in higher education institutions was also investigated. The main vectors and components of the professional training of specialists in philological specialties in the information and educational environment of higher educational institutions were defined. Scope: educational process in higher education institutions or their structural components of the philological direction. The results can be implemented in the process of training bachelors and masters in higher education institutions of Ukraine; when preparing publications, textbooks and training aids; in the development and implementation of new cycles of practical classes, lecture courses, etc. in the educational process.
