The object of the research is the process of formation of competences regarding the financial literacy of young people. The subject of the research is theoretical provisions, methodological approaches, practical recommendations for improving the provision of financial literacy competences of young people in the conditions of the digital economy. To achieve the goal and obtain research results, a number of general and special scientific methods were used, namely: dialectical; theoretical generalization, monographic (when processing scientific publications); system analysis (when studying the state of financial literacy of young people); analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, complex analysis (when forming conclusions and proposals for solving tasks), etc. The importance of developing financial literacy among the country's young population, especially as potential bearers and transmitters of knowledge and skills to the next generation, is emphasized. The importance of introducing financial literacy as an educational component for young people is substantiated. The role and place of the teacher in the context of the formation of financial literacy of students is given. The main conceptual-methodological and practical problems and contradictions of the integration of financial literacy into the cognitive process of education seekers are formulated. The theoretical and methodological support for the formation of financial literacy competences of young people in the conditions of the digital economy has been improved.
