Object of research is the process of extraction of humic acids from raw materials of plant origin, accompanied by pulsed electrophysical effects. It has been determined that the results of successive сomplex effects of high-voltage electric discharge pulses and low-voltage pulse currents on weakly alkaline suspension "peat-water-sodium bicarbonate" are multiple grinding of solid plant substrate particles up to 10 μm, approximately fivefold reduction of the bacteria and triple reduction of harmful fungal organisms content in peat suspensions, and increasing of the humic acids yield, extracted from peat, up to 17%. Compared with multistage alkaline digestion, which is usually used for the extraction of humic acids from peat, the combination of pulsed electric discharges and currents in a single technological cycle of aqueous peat suspensions treatment eliminates artificial heating of the suspension. Reducing the population of pathogens, the processing time and the amount of necessary chemical reagents, make the process of extraction of humic acids more environmentally friendly and the resulting organic manure is safe for consumption. The general constructive and technological decisions for such complex processing of plant substrates to intensify the extraction of target substances from them are offered.
