Accordingly, there was a need to assess the possible impact of this hydrotechnical complex on the environment. The basis of such an assessment is the study of flora and fauna and habitats in the area where the spillway dam is located. The purpose of the work was to determine the environmental value of the territory on the right and left banks of the Zahidny Bug river above (500 m) and below (500 m) the construction of the spillway dam. Therefore, the dimensions of the test site correspond to the real impact of the complex on the surrounding territory. In the process of research, flora and fauna were studied within the range, an analysis of the presence of species of the Red Book of Ukraine, groups of the Green Book of Ukraine, protected species and habitats of the Berne Convention was carried out.
