Object of research: The process of burning and extinguishing fires in the presence of light metals or phosphorus compounds. The subject of research is fire extinguishing agents and means of supply for extinguishing fires in the presence of light metals or phosphorus compounds. Research methods. The work uses a comprehensive research method, which includes: analysis and application of statistical data processing methods, verification of the reliability of the results obtained by mathematical modeling and field tests. The work reflects the main results: - improvement of the formulation of fire extinguishing powders for extinguishing light metals or phosphorus compounds and the developed formulation; - improvement of the design of the damper nozzle in a way that allows increasing the amount of powder and foam concentrate entering the extinguishing object by modeling processes using the COSMOSFloWorks software product; - draft specifications for fire extinguishing powders for extinguishing fires of light metals and phosphorus compounds; - recommendations for extinguishing fires of light metals and phosphorus compounds.
