Advantages and limitations of laser cutting of materials are determined. The state of technological preparation of production at the enterprise was analyzed. The optimal technological conditions for laser processing of sheet steel to ensure the required quality of the cut have been determined. A computer model was developed to determine and predict the thermal fields in the workpiece during laser cutting, and based on the results of computer simulations, the temperature stresses arising in the workpieces as a result of laser cutting were determined. The introduction of the developed computer model made it possible to optimize the technological parameters of cutting for various processed materials. The research work was carried out on the order of Trans-VV LLC, therefore the results of the work are used in the practice of the business activity of the client company.
