The object of research is the process of economic development of the city of Kyiv in the conditions of European integration. The subject of research is the theoretical, methodological and scientific foundations of the development of the economy of the city of Kyiv in the conditions of European integration. The purpose of the work is to identify the problems of the development of the economy of the city of Kyiv, in particular in the housing sector, employment of the population and ensuring the financial and economic security of the city's enterprises in the conditions of European integration, and to develop a scientifically based approach to the formation of practical recommendations for their solution based on the use of European experience. Research methods: theoretical (analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization, modeling), empirical (observation, testing), methods of mathematical statistics and forecasting. The theoretical and practical significance of the results lies in the creation of new and deepening of already known knowledge of a theoretical and applied nature in the field of the city's economy, the development and improvement of methodological recommendations for the development of the housing sector of the city of Kyiv in the conditions of European integration, ensuring the socio-economic security of the residents of the city of Kyiv, implementation in the educational the process of new educational disciplines related to the economy of the city, development and implementation in practice of training and retraining of specialists who are temporarily unemployed. The results of the research are implemented in the educational process of the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, in the work of the Department of Finance of the executive body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration), in the enterprises of the city of Kyiv.
