The goal is to develop an institute for the foster care of orphans and children deprived of parental care, as well as proposals for improving family legislation in the field of education of the mentioned category of children. Research methods. In accordance with the set goal and tasks, general scientific and special methods of learning legal phenomena became the basis of the research methodology. The task of the research was that the development of a civilized society is determined not only by its economic and socio-cultural level, but also by the attitude towards orphans and children deprived of parental care. The general theoretical aspects and forms of placement of orphans and children deprived of parental care, their social protection and medical care are studied. Attention is focused on the international legal experience regarding the protection of children's rights. Problems of domestic violence and abuse in the family are revealed. On the basis of the results of the conducted research, issues related to family legal aspects of protecting the rights of orphans and children deprived of parental care were developed; the monograph "Institute of Family and Foster Care" was published, scientific articles were prepared and reports were made public at scientific and practical conferences; organized participation in scientific and practical seminars.
