Purpose: rationalization of pharmacotherapy costs based on the results of marketing, pharmaco-epidemiological and pharmaco-economic research. Research methods: retrospective, historical, logical, analytical, sociological methods, marketing (assessment of socio-economic affordability of pharmacotherapy, XYZ-analysis); pharmaco-epidemiological: АТС/DDD-methodology, ABC-, VEN- and frequency analysis; pharmaco-economic: "cost-effectiveness", "cost-benefit", incremental analysis, sensitivity analysis, "cost minimization", NNT-analysis, "budget impact"; assessment of the quality of life of patients; mathematical modeling, "decision tree"; mathematical and statistical methods of data processing; graphic methods. As a result of the study, treatment protocols and pharmacist protocols were analyzed; conducted marketing, pharmaco-epidemiological and pharmaco-economic analyzes of treatment regimens, individual drugs for the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia, diabetes mellitus, open-angle glaucoma, drugs for the treatment of musculoskeletal system, laxatives, drugs for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, peptic ulcer disease duodenum, for the treatment of seasonal allergies, analysis of the availability of drugs for the treatment of pituitary dwarfism; invented pharmacologically economically sound treatment regimens; conducted marketing, pharmacoepidemiological analysis of vaccines, medical devices; content analysis of normative and legal documents regulating the process of providing pharmaceutical care in Ukraine, laws "On Consumer Protection", "On Labor Protection", created a graphic model of state regulation of business entities in Ukraine.
