The purpose of the study is to analyse the development of the logistics and transport infrastructure of the border oblasts of the Western region of Ukraine and to substantiate the mechanisms for realizing their transit potential. The object of the study is the development of logistics and transport infrastructure and transit opportunities of the border oblasts of the Western region of Ukraine. The subject of the study is theoretical and applied provisions regarding the logistics and transport factors of economic growth of the border oblasts of the Western region of Ukraine. The theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of logistics and transport infrastructure in the conditions of increased security challenges and geopolitical fragmentation have been developed. The main priorities of the strategic development of the European transport network have been studied. The methodical toolkit for evaluating the development of the logistics and transport infrastructure of the border regions of the Western region of Ukraine has been improved. Integral indices of the logistics and transport infrastructure were calculated based on a number of indicators that characterize the relevant structural elements of the infrastructure; the effectiveness of the use of logistics and transport infrastructure in terms of individual structural elements is evaluated. The main trends and prospects for the development of logistics and transport infrastructure in the Ukraine-EU cross-border space have been determined. Administrative, institutional-legal and organizational-economic measures to ensure the implementation of the transit potential of the border oblasts of the Western region of Ukraine are substantiated.
