The goal of the work is to create new devices with improved operational characteristics. Research methods – mathematical modeling, microscopy. Mathematical dependencies were invented for calculating the heat consumption and temperature of the mixture at the outlet of the centrifugal mill MC 630-2. Dependencies regarding the influence of technological parameters on the temperature of the material at the exit from the mill were obtained. The quality of the crushed material meets international standards. The dependence of changes in the volumetric energy capacity of the destruction of rocks pretreated by thermocycling on the ratio of the size of the crack center after heat treatment and the size of the particles was established. It is shown that the use of open gears of drum mills with the hardness of the working surfaces of the gear teeth (500-600) H1B1 and crown (260-300) H2B2 allows to ensure a virtually wear-free mode of operation. Combining a heater and a pump in one heat-technical device significantly simplifies the heating system as a whole.
