The subject of the research is approaches to the management of the components of the strategic potential of the transitive economy in the discourse of economic theory and management in the context of globalization changes of the present. The purpose of the study is business management and formation of a paradigm of economic development of the national economy on this basis. Achieving the set goal determined the formulation and solution of the following methodological and practical tasks: based on the study of applied aspects of management, determine the degree of validity of theoretical concepts in order to identify their scientific and methodological significance and the possibilities of application by modern science; to carry out a comparative analysis of the level of development of the internal structure of the system and management processes in the conditions of specific historical features of development; to determine the peculiarities of managing the activity of business management models and to outline modern application trends. Research results: theoretical and methodological aspects of structural changes are defined; the impact of innovative management tools on business efficiency was analyzed; the capabilities of strategic imperatives of management as modern approaches to business management have been improved; a mechanism for improving the management system using business models has been developed. Scope of use: application of the methodology of conceptual awareness and systematic research of approaches to managing the components of the strategic potential of the economy in the discourse of economic theory and management, expanding the research base of business models of the modern world.
