The purpose of the research is to develop a mechanism for strengthening the competitive positions of the national economic system in global, regional and local dimensions. Research methods: theoretical and methodological provisions of modern economic theory, system analysis, methods of statistical and economic analysis, programming, economic-mathematical modeling, etc. The result of the study is the generalization of theoretical approaches and conceptual foundations of financial and economic security in terms of structural and systemic components of the competitiveness of business entities, organizations and financial infrastructure institutions in the local dimension; a package of recommendations on innovative transformation and strengthening of the competitive positions of the national economic system in modern realities was formed; research of innovative directions of informatization and digitization of business processes as a vector of the new competitive policy of business entities; formation of separate components of the functioning mechanism of the self-employment institute in Ukraine. The scope of application is the management of business entities, organizations and financial infrastructure institutions. The results of the work are also used in the educational process in the preparation of higher education applicants for the OPP "Finance, banking and insurance" and "Entrepreneurship, trade and stock exchange activity", when performing the relevant qualification works.
