The purpose of the work is to develop methods for modeling objects and processes technosphere, research of new geometric models of objects and processes, development of new approaches in order to improve the level of training of students from disciplines "Engineering and computer graphics". The research method is geometric and computer modeling. Traditionally, scientific work at the department was carried out in two main areas directions: - research of various aspects of modeling, design and analysis geometry of individual parts and assemblies of cars and road equipment, as well as solving specific problems related to this issue; - analysis and improvement of existing computer modeling tools and comprehensive analysis of machine units (aggregates), development approaches relevant design documentation, as well as development of new algorithms application of existing software. Of course, to a large extent, the second direction belongs to scientific and methodical ones development, and its orientation is determined by the issues that arise in students of Khnadu in computer graphics classes, during preparation students to all-Ukrainian and international olympiads and competitions, when performed them semester and diploma projects.
