The research subject is a comprehensive set of issues on the use of fiscal instruments in adjusting economic performance to promote sustainable development of the country in the context of European integration. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is ensured by the systematic approach to research the place and role of fiscal policy instruments in the government regulation of economic development in Ukraine, as well as the transformation of government finance into the public sector of the economy. Obtained results are the following: 4 doctoral and 17 PhD dissertations have been defended, 8 monographs and 91 scientific contributions, as well as 9 educational and methodological publications, have been published, and 205 conference proceedings have been abstracted. Proposals for improving the legislative and regulatory framework of fiscal policy in Ukraine and practical recommendations to municipal and state authorities in the use of fiscal instruments of government regulation of economic development have been substantiated.
