The objects of the study are pine and beech stands in the forest fund of western Ukraine. The purpose of the work is to identify the spread of pine-beech stands and, in the conditions of climate change and the growth of anthropogenic loads on the environment, to develop theoretical and practical principles and recommendations for their reproduction, preservation and productive functioning. Research methods - comparative ecology, forestry and taxonomy, geobotanical, phytopathological, microbiological, molecular biological, genetic engineering, bioinformative, mathematical and statistical. This scientific work highlights the results of research on the distribution, formation, productivity and reproduction of the gene pool of pine-beech stands. On the basis of field surveys, forest management materials, the establishment of stationary trial areas, the forestry-taxation and genetic-selection structure of natural and artificially created pine-beech stands, their biotic stability and wood reserves, reproductive processes, features of precipitation accumulation and litter mineralization, molecular genetic mechanisms of adaptation of pine and beech stands to stressful environmental conditions. The impact of felling of the main use (uniform gradual two-reception, group-selective two-reception) on the processes of natural regeneration of tree species in pine-beech stands was revealed. It has been established that a more balanced natural renewal of pine and beech takes place during uniform gradual felling, with the group-selective method of felling in reproduced young trees, the forest beech has a significant advantage over the common pine. In order to reproduce pine and beech stands on the basis of the natural renewal of tree species, it is also advisable to organize forest management in them according to the principles of forestry close to nature. In general, theoretical and practical principles were developed an Product Description popup.authors Kovaleva Valentuna Korol Mykola Kramarec Volodumur Krynytska Olga Krynytskyy Hrugoriy Muklysh Stepan popup.nrat_date 2023-09-01 Close
