The object of research is the world literary process in the context of changing cultural epochs and multicultural interaction of scientific paradigms. The purpose of the research is methodological multi-vector research of the key trends of the world literary process, cultural and aesthetic phenomena and artistic texts. Research methods – structural-semantic, comparative-typological, comparativehistorical, mythopoetic, theories of receptive aesthetics, intertextual method, “close reading” methods. Research results. Attention is paid to the theoretical problems of research methodology, among which is the problem of reinterpretation of artistic works of world literature, which were considered mainly from ideological positions. The productivity of the application of traditional approaches to the study of realistic artistic texts with the correction of their de-ideologization is proven. The theoretical aspects and practical implementation of mythopoetic approaches to realistic and non-classical types of creativity are highlighted; the relationship between the processes of remythologizing, author mythmaking and demythologising in modeling the artistic reality of realist, modernist and postmodern works is traced, the mechanisms of such interaction are revealed. In the comparative analysis of artistic works, the specificity and correlation of this research methodology is outlined according to the objects of study - genetic contact relationships between specific national literatures or the work of individual writers and typological commonalities and correspondences. The key problems of the postmodern toolkit of text analysis and interpretation are elaborated, in particular the specifics of intertextuality as an interpretive model, as well as the specifics of intermedial strategies for the study of an artistic text.
