Object of Research: religious processes in modern Ukraine (on the example of Kherson region). Purpose of Research: In the modern world, the role of religion in all spheres of social life is growing. There is a need to study religious processes in Ukraine in the context of globalization, nation- and state-building. The main attention should be paid to the establishment of religious tolerance in Ukrainian society. The key to this is the ecumenical activities of religious organizations. It should find support in the activities of higher education institutions regarding the formation of appropriate religious orientations in students. Thus, the aim of the work is to study the current state of ecumenical cooperation and analysis of religious orientations of student youth of Kherson region. Research Methods: analysis and synthesis, dialectical, logical, historical and survey methods. The current state of ecumenical dialogue in the Kherson region has been studied and proposals for its improvement have been developed. The religious orientations of the student youth of Kherson region are investigated. A sociological study of the religious orientations of the student youth of Kherson region was carried out. The tendencies in transformation of religious orientations of students are outlined and the ways of improvement of educational process in institutions of higher education of Kherson are offered. Author's curricula in the disciplines "Sociology of Religion" (for KSU students majoring in 054 "Sociology") and "Religious Communities of Kherson Region" (elective discipline for students of educational qualification level "Bachelor") have been developed.
