Technologies have been developed to prevent and control pollution in mine waters while maintaining a safe level of mine waters. The technologies of efficient use of mine water heat by geothermal systems are substantiated, which will help transform closed mines into heat energy producers. Up-to-date data on rock properties and technical conditions of mining the layers which influence the formation of the hydrodynamic and hydrogeochemical regime in the mines were collected and analyzed. The balance method, analytical calculations, and modeling were used to develop elements of the technology that will prevent mine water pollution and minimize the environmental load on the underground hydrosphere.
